1 Million visitors and more German publicity!
Today, after only seven weeks live, googleidol.com received its 1 Millionth visitor!!! Wow!Thank you to all the fans and especially the performers for supporting Gidol, and I look forward to bringing you more and more enjoyment for a long time to come.
Today, the site was also featured on the Pro7 television station in Germany. That story is below. Please leave us a comment and let us know what you think.

Just to mention: Pro7 announced at the end of the story, that they now started a similar video contest - videos can be send in until 8th of May ...

this tv station is pretty much like fox in america and very popular. but no serious news are broadcasted ^^
i wonder what happens if google idol gets too famous and therefore it will be very hard to get your video at least on the internet.
i dont like the fact that they puplish it on tv as the "latest hippest thing one can do" like a trend. "hey you're cool if you do that because we say so."
don't get me wrong i love gidol but i fear of mass invation.

WOW!!! So cool that here are shown reports from German TV!! =) Actually I have seen both when they were really shown on TV so this is kinda cool. ^^

Hey, I've seen the report on ProSieben, too. And I'm so glad that I haven't missed it. Otherwise, I would never have found such a great site. Definitely cool!!! By the way, does this meaning of "cool" exist in the English language either? (Cool means sth. like fantastic in Germany.)
